How It Works: The User Journey

Step 1: Choose Video Source — User enters a YouTube URL or uploads a local video file. The app validates and loads it.

Step 2: Play & Navigate — Standard video player controls allow play, pause, seek. The Redux store tracks current playback time.

Step 3: Add Annotation — Click “Add Annotation” at any point. A modal appears with the current timestamp pre-filled. User enters text and saves.

Step 4: View Annotations — The annotations panel shows all notes, synced to the current playback position. Relevant annotations are highlighted.

Step 5: Edit or Delete — Click any annotation to edit its text or delete it. Changes update Redux state immediately, reflecting across the entire app.

Step 6: Navigate by Annotation — Click a timestamp in the annotations panel to seek directly to that moment in the video.
